Uncle Nathan came over to play while Uncle Adam had a baseball game. Nathan had fun playing with Jacob and the teddy bear.
Jacob and I took our second air plane adventure, this time to Boise, Idaho. We stayed in Boise from the 18th to the 26th. Jacob was great on the airplane. I sat by many nice strangers who were not opposed to sitting by a baby. One person commented on the end of the flight that they didn't know Jacob was even on board because he was so quite. He wasn't very fond of having to sit still for so long, especially on my lap. The flights home had empty seats, so he didn't have to stay on my lap the whole time. It was a lot of fun for Jacob to spend time with his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He had the most fun with Aunt Cherie. She played toys with him and tried to keep him up late. haha... She even let him lick a piece of taffy! She wanted him to have some sugar! Of course mom didn't approve. She will understand someday. We had a family Spring Picnic. Jacob had his first Easter egg "hunt" with his cousin Amaya. If they picked up an egg, they got to keep it. Jacob was a champ! Jacob tried a Johnny Jump Up which looks like a lot more fun than a jumparoo that keeps him stationary. Jacob also attended "bird school" with cousin Aquila. He held some of the stuffed birds and heard the different calls. I put the pictures in the smilebox titled Boise Trip. There were too many pictures to post them individually.
Jacob is changing so much! He loves to babble all of the time. I love to heard him! His favorite thing to say is anything that starts with a "D." I call him the "busiest non-mobile baby." If he is in your arms he wants to turn around and see what is going on! He's started some finger foods. It took a while for them to make it into his mouth but he loves the independence of feeding himself. We have also started him on a sippy cup. He got the hang of it real quick. He holds onto it, but doesn't know he has to tilt it up to get the juice.
At the end of the month we had a trip to the park. We went to the park with a pond and ducks. Ben and I fed the ducks while Jacob watched. Ben took Jacob down all of the slides. He wanted him to swing, but the swings were full.
